Josie Maran Vibrancy Foundation + Mecca Hydrating Primer Review

Hi Everyone ☺️

It has been awhile since I have posted a review. I have been busy with work and my beauty course. I was able to get some samples from Mecca for both of these products and after I used both of them up I knew I had! to buy them lol, together they are the perfect combo for dry skin.

It’s like the benefits of skincare and makeup mixed together to me . The Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation is full coverage and also has Argan Oil in it to repair and hydrate the skin. My shade is called “supernatural” RG10. It has also made my cream contouring blend out so much more easily which I love.

The official description on the box is below and I 100% agree with it. Only down side is that it does cost $70! Aud 😦

This lightweight foundation provides medium to full coverage whilst feeding and energising skin with essential nutrients. Formulated with argan oil to hydrate and nourish and blueberry extract to fight inflammation, the skin is left bright, calm and skin tone is evened for a vibrant, smooth and supple finish.

In a Clinical Study after 4 weeks: 100% of subjects experienced a significant increase of skin moisture by 106%

98% of subjects experienced a significant increase of skin smoothness and softness by 111%

Ok so the Mecca Hydrating Primer is beautiful it hydrates the skin without fealing sticky at all and makes your foundation last all day. This primer costs $40 Aud.

I highly recommend both of these for dry to combination skin types.

If anyone can recommend any other Josie Maran products that I should try or other products you love for dry to combo skin please let me know! 🙂 xx

Makeup & Glow + Artist Discounts

I placed my first makeup and glow order recently. They are an amazing Brisbane based company that sell a lot of makeup artist supplies and makeup. As a student studying makeup artistry they give you 10% off. This was my haul :

Rcma Vk 11 Palette

It is amazing to contour with and the foundation is nice on me but I tried it out on my mum and it clung to all her dry patches very badly even with using moisturiser and a no pores primer as base. So I will keep having a play to see what works best with it because the foundations are so highly pigmented you can mix it together with other foundations or serums or moisturers etc. This cost me $100 with the discount.

Next I wanted to try the cinema secrets setting powders in soft light and colourless. The powder is so finely milled and is better than the Ben Nye or Rcma powder by far. Perfect for under eyes and baking. Definitely makes makeup last all day. ❤️

I finally got my first ever Becca product and wow this blush in the shade Song Bird is everything. Such a gorgeous shade it is super pigmented so you only need the tiniest bit but it just melts into the skin and looks like beautiful flushed cheeks, it is very easy to over do it though.

Lastly a few staple necessities I ordered were a metal spatula , metal palette, mini disposable mascara wands and a uniquely shaped beauty blender (great for baking under the eyes and sharpening under contour). I have definitely made great use out of all of these products and highly recommend you checking out makeup and glow ✨

Lastly I wanted to talk about pro and student discounts. The only ones I know of are Mac, makeup & glow, Inglot. So if there are any other places in Australia I should know about please let me know! ☺️

Thanks xx

Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette Review âœ¨ðŸ˜

You guys! This highlighter is everything! It is even more pigmented and glowy then The Balm Mary Louminzer or Mac’s Soft and Gentle.

They just started stocking Sleek at Target in Australia and I found it very hard to get my hands on this little baby because everywhere was sold out lol.

The packaging is to die for. I am a sucker for any makeup products that have gold packaging 😍

This Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette has 2 powder highlighters and 2 cream highlighters.  One of them called “Hemisphere” looks very purple but it isn’t on the skin it just gives you an amazingly beautiful glow. All of the names are very galaxy theme related which fits because this highlighter is out of this world. Hehe

Please see pics and swatches below

Mind the glasses marks on my nose lol I just finished work.

This highlighter palette retails for $24.95 at target in Australia  and is definitely worth it.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Xx

My Everyday Makeup Picks!

I have recently discovered the brand Grown Alchemist and have become obsessed with a few select products ☺️

Grown Alchemist Tinted Hydra Repair Day Cream – great for light every day coverage and has the benefits of skincare too.

Grown Alchemist Lip Balm Vanilla & Watermelon – smells amazing and very nourishing. I also think the packaging from this brand is really nice 🙂

JOSIE MARAN COSMETICS Argan Enlightenment Illuminiser – I mix this in with any foundation I put on my face it is amazing. And one bottle will last ages.

Nars Creamy Concealer – to brighten up the under eye area.

MECCA COSMETICA Beauty Sleep Artistry Eye Brightener – this product is so convenient. One end is a gorgeous gold cream highlighter I use as a brow bone highlight and a little bit on top of my nose. The other end a concealer pen it’s not good for an under eye concealer at all because it’s too dry but it is perfect to use to sharpen up around your eyebrows.

L’OREAL PARIS Brow Artist Plumper – this is actually my favourite brow gel it actually tames them doesn’t just wet them lol and it gives them a nice natural tint.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Brow Wiz in Taupe – I could probably use a darker colour but I just like it to sharpen up my arches after using brow gel for a nice natural look.

Nars Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder – at first I didn’t like this but that’s because it’s not a good product to set for oily skin at all. It is great to set a dewy look so that it still looks lit from with in and lasts all day ❤️ I use a big fluffy brush and press quite hard to get abit of product out but I like it because it will take ages to use up and the compact form is really convenient.

NARS Contour Blush Duo in Paloma – I use the highlighting powder to set under my eyes and sharpen up under my contour.

HOURGLASS Ambient® Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light – this bronzer is definitely worth the investment i haven’t found anything similar to it. And if you use something every day why not invest in it ? 🙂

The brushes are models prefer and a large stippling brush I bought off eBay.

I’d love to hear what your go to everyday makeup products are ! Xx

Lacura, Aldi & and Drugstore Brand Beauty Review/Haul â¤ï¸

Today I purchased a couple random products because they just looked like they would be great products and were really cheap. 😛 I have issues I know ! Anyway moving on 🙂 Above are Lacura liquid Illuminators, they cost $5 each and I have had a play with them today, they are gorgeous! See below pick of how they look as highlighters. Shades came in bronze, natural, golden & radiant, all bought from Aldi.

Below are all the products purchased in today’s haul to create the every day look above. I purchased the other products from Cosmetic Plus. The Revlon concealer in 06 Deep worked really nicely as a cream contour and I’m really excited to use the mini beauty blends for under my eyes over the next few days. The Bys matte lipstick and the Bys blush are really nice too. Shades are pinch me and exposed.

BYS Brand can be very hit and miss but I do like these two products and they were only $6 and $5 each as well.
Next I also picked up this at home fake tan pack from Aldi at the same time I grabbed the Illuminators. It cost $12 Aud and will give me about 10 tans in total. I am really impressed. It is such a nice shade!

Before and after picks below

The only bummer about Aldi products is that they are completely random so if you fall in love with a product you can’t usually ever buy it from there again lol. But for now I am stoked!

I hope you all enjoyed my completely random haul and that it brightened up your Monday just a little 🙂
